Website Design
Planning a website?
I've written something that I think you will find helpful: Creating a Website - the Basics. Below are some of the websites I've designed recently...
Sue Dirksen
I designed this website for a talented painter in Santa Cruz.
Heaven and Earth - Handmade Soap and Body Products
I designed this website for a small home based business in the Santa Cruz mountains which sells a wide variety of all natural handmade body products
like soaps, body mists, scrubs, lip balms and mineral bath salts.
Awareness and Relaxation Training
Redesigned this website to create a more user-friendly interface and to conform to CSS web standards. Also implemented a paypal shopping cart for CD sales and add a macromedia flash audio player. All email addresses are encrypted to thwart email harvesting spam robots.
Chase Academy
I designed this website for a private, non-profit school designed specifically to meet the individual needs of students with high-functioning Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
Star Clinic Physical Therapy
I recently designed a website and logo for this Physical Therapy Clinic in Mountain View, CA.
Wild Coast Qigong
The animated banner (using Macromedia Flash) also functions as the
website's menu. An alternative graphical menu is displayed on browsers
that do not have Flash installed.
Vipassana Santa Cruz
The animated banner of the ringing bell was created using Macromedia Flash. It also doubles as a meditation timer.
Coyote Valley RV & Golf Resort
I designed this website for a RV resort in San Jose, CA.
GizmoLab - Design Intuition®
Redesigned this website (which sells a CAD program for woodworkers) to
improve the look and feel and use CSS web standards (still in
progress). The website two different skins. The main section was designed to suggest the appearance of carved wood and the help section
is a variation suggesting driftwood. (main, help). The size of the
content window flows according to the size of the browser window. Using
javascript, different CSS files are used to optimize the site for
different screen sizes. For larger screens, the text is larger and the
menu bar is fixed in position.
Carolyn Bennett, Psy.D. - Mindfulness For Health
This is a website I did for a psychologist in Berkeley, CA who also teaches mindfulness–based stress reduction.
Ocean Pods
The swimming copepod in the banner is a GIF animation.
Microcosmic Orbit Example from Wild Goose I
This macromedia flash animation is a "work in progress" that illustrates the movement of Qi (Energy) through the body.
